atreideslioness: (No man's spoil of war)
Ghanima had been....delayed in reaching the radio station last night, but it sounded like Mr. Starsmore and his friends had been more than capable of handling themselves. In truth, she had been delaying, spending most of the weekend by her self down at the beach, slightly sad that Leto had not come to visit her and Irulan.

But she had a responsibility to her students, and so Ghanima was here today, the heady scent of coffee and cinnamon filling her office as she made arrangements for next week's class.

Too often, students become wrapped up in the strange culture of Fandom Island, never looking past its boarders to see the wider world. This class is an opportunity to explore the mainland on a regular basis, and take in some of the wonders that this planet has to offer. Students will travel by portal to various points of interest all over the United States, spending two hours at each stop to learn about the culture of the time and place they are living in.

THIS IS A FIELD TRIP CLASS. Instead of isolating students by using the Danger Shop to simulate non-Fandom environments, Ghanima is going to take the students off-island to three museums, three plays, three national parks, and three formal restaurants. This gives us twelve classes, which gives me room to adjust in case of BDE/Trauma/RL. Because, ngl, this is Fandom, and there will be trauma at some point. That's just how it works. Ghanima will be wearing sunglasses or special contacts to disguise her eyes when off-island, and suggests that any clearly non-human students consider making similar adjustments. Causing riots is not nearly as fun as it sounds.

She is also in the market for a TA. Comments are screened, questions will be unscreened, and the RNG will dictate the TA on Monday.
