atreideslioness: (Ghani thinks you're lame)
From cityscapes to icebergs, each week we will look at a different type of terrain, and one thing you can do to make your life easier. Please be aware that there is no syllabus to this class, because Ghanima is a cruel woman and does not want you to have time to prepare for each scenario.

Students may end up covering a few of the same types of terrain, but with different activities from last time. You can see previous classes here, and I'm happy to take suggestions on what ya'll would like to do this time around.

TA: TBD. Ghanima needs one, are you interested? Comments are screened, preferences is given to grads needing a reason to stay on campus, and the RNG Gods will decide your fate.

Ghanima's final class had been... interesting. She hadn't actually expected people to climb on the sandworms, let alone jump into it.

The children never ceased to amuse amaze her.

Still, she'd made great progress on her books, and Ghanima now had five tidy copies of the abridged Training Manual finished, written neatly in unassuming bound journals.

For now, however, she was going to take a break from work on the Azhar Book, and do some notations for next semester's class. It was always best to be prepared for one's destiny.

[For that apprentice with the ears, but open before and after him.]

The perils of summer, Ghanima had discovered, was that it got harder and harder to convince herself to go into the office when she didn't need to.

There was sun. The temperature was approaching something mildly acceptable. Really, being cooped-up in her office, with no windows, was a crime, especially with the mood she was in.

So today she had the door propped wide-open to let in fresh air, and had abandoned her desk to sprawl out on the floor, indulging herself with treats as she worked on translating an old, leather-bound tome in an unreadable language into a notebook, pausing occasionally to flick doughnut flakes from her work.

The basic rule is this: Never support weakness; always support strength, she wrote, her letters flowing across the page. She'd given Reno the Oath; it was high time he had a copy of the Azhar Book, too. Possibly copies for Merlin and Dinah as well, once their training had progressed a bit farther.

[Office door and post are open, and the OCD is off a-cruisin' down the river, yo.]
